PIANO :)

So for some reason pictures of music and musical instruments intrigue me...I'm not quite sure why. I just really enjoy the "old time" antique look. The subject is my hands. I came up with the idea and decided I needed someone else to take the picture, because I thought my hands against the white keys would make a nice contrast. Especially when enhanced in black and white. settings were ISO 800, 109mm, f/4.0, 1/160 sec.

In the Spotlight

SO today we decide to go to our usual spot to take pictures for our daily blog; the theater. While there  I decided to take a simple headshot.  I  set my shutter speed to 1/250 sec, in order to block out any ambient light. My settings were ISO400, 40mm, f/6.3, at 1/250 sec.

The following was taken after one of my friends decided to tie toe shoes to the staircase leading up to the catwalk of the theater. I thought it would be interesting to take a picture of the shoes directly below them at an angle. This was a pretty easy shot. Point and Shoot. My settings were ISO400 50mm, f6.3, at 1/250 sec

Jewelry

So I decided to have a jewelry photo shoot today with my accessories. As it turns out, taking pictures of non-living subjects can be harder than taking pictures of people. At first I began to shoot with and on camera flash, but I didn't receive the depth that I was trying to achieve. With aid from my teacher he suggested that I use a light stand and an off camera flash. After changing my lighting source, I reached my desired look. The only editing I did was put a black and white filter. My settings were ISO 400, f/3.2, 50mm, 1/250 sec.

FUN in the THEATER

This was taken in the theater while we were experimenting and taking pictures of random things. I found this raw file and decided to edit it and make it more absrtact looking. My settings were ISO 400, 50mm, f/4.0, 1/250 sec with flash.

Prom Night

I took this photo in the bathroom while watching some of the girls freshen up from their long night of dancing.

I saw my friend heather's mask that she will be wearing for our school's "Masquerade Ball" themed prom and decided to photograph it because I thought it was gorgeous ! Since I took this picture in the theater the lights were really low, i used flash. I did some editing in light room to completely black out the stage. I had no difficulty taking this picture, mainly because all it took was a "point and shoot". My settings were ISO 400, 50mm, f/4.0, 1/125 sec

No Shoes Day !!!

I had a photo assignment to shoot a picture of a guy that was celebrating national NO SHOES DAY. y settings were ISO 400; 70mm, f/4.0, 1/160 sec
