SELF-PORTRAIT

I am fairly pleased with my self portrait. I used a soft box, light stand and a 17-50 lens. I originally had done a trial self portrait and used Alex as my model. I had planned to use a rim light behind my head and the have the soft box angled at a 45 degree angle to my right. BUT I was lacking a flash and was forced to use one light source. I was ALSO lacking a tripod so i had to use a chair and a stack of books to support my camera. I had to manual focus my camera, then set the timer for 10 seconds. After a LONG two hours and numerous shots, I finally got 3 poses that I was pleased with. I will list them in order from least favorite to most favorite. My settings were ISO 100, 50mm, f/2.8, 1/320sec.

Breana Lafayette MAKE UP FOR NOV. 18th

Today I decided to take pictures of my Best Friend and do a photo shoot !!! She was somewhat cooperative. I thought this would be a good way to get more experience with using natural light and strobe lights. I used a soft box and light stand. My theme was school life. My settings were ISO 800, 50mm, f/7.1 @1/125.

Dec. 7th

I was disappointed with my basketball pictures. I need more time to be able to keep up my photography skill because it is definitely lacking and what you put in is what u get in return. So with that Im in need of getting some deadlines met so I have to cut this blog short.

Dec. 1st

Varsity Basketball against Arkansas High was going well until a fight broke out during halftime. I was EXTREMELY disappointed because just as i started getting everything correct I had to leave due to the Mace and chaotic circumstances. I didnt even get a chance to get underneath the goal and get a better distance considering the lense i was using.

Atlanta Varsity Basketball Game

second time shooting a varsity basketball game. I used on camera flash due to lack of gear, lighting would have been alot better if off camera flash was used. Alot of my pictures were shot a stop under correct exposure. I uped the exposure in lightroom which caused the graininess. I had to constantly alter my AWB.
My settings were ISO 1250, 68mm, f 4.0, 1/200 sec.
