Mr.Schroeder

Recently an assistant principal at our school received the principal of the year award. I was assigned to take a picture of him for the online newspaper. I didnt have any difficulty, I used flash and it was pretty simple...point and shoot. My settings were ISO 800, 28mm, f/4.0, 1/100 sec.

Volleyball !

My first volleyball game of the season !!! I had a problem with flash because I was shooting with another photographer and the timing flash was a little difficult to master. The following picture is one of the few good shots I shot.

Football !!!

This picture was a picture taken during my FIRST sports assignment of the new year. It was also my first time using the BIG lens (the sigma) and using the monopod to hold it up. I had a BLAST ! This was also my first time shooting varsity football. I used flash because it was in the evening with the sun setting and I had to raise and adjust my ISO accordingly with the time changing from evening to night. My settings were
ISO 400, 120mm, f/2.8, at 1/500sec.

SEMESTER PROJECT

For my semester project I decide to do an environmental portrait. My environmental portrait was over my dad at his job which is at his funeral home. I used a tripod, because I didnt have a flash, and due to my lighting in the building my shutter speed was really low. My settings varied from ISO 400-500, shutter speed 1/20 sec-1/50 sec, 44mm, f/ 2.8-4.0.

Shoes ! Shoes ! Shoes !

So at first I decided that I wanted to do my semester project over fashion, having the main subject shoes...but then I changed my mind and wanted to do an environmental portrait of my dad at his job. Since I already hauled the high-heels up I took some shots of the heels in the theater and the pictures turned out nice, so I decided to use the picture for my blog. The setup was pretty basic, i used one light stand, two pocket wizards, ISO 100, 50mm, 1/250 sec, f/2.0.

Painting with light

While in the dark room helping alex practice her bottle picture....I decided it would be cool to paint an antique looking glass jar that was laying around in the room....Since Alex was there with me I set the shutter speed to bulb so she assisted with holding the shutter button. My settings were ISO 100, f 3.2, 50mm, and bulb

Allison

So the weather was nice outside and we decide to have fun with some left over mardi gras beads left in a plastic bag by smith's desk. My settings were ISO 100, 50mm, f 5/6, 1/500 sec
